Chabbakia

Chabbakia is such a delightful dessert and the most consumed in the holy month of ramadan. Here are the ingredients:

Gazelle Horns

- 500 g white flour
- 125 g wheat flour
- A pinch of salt
- 125 g toasted sesame seeds
- 5 tablespoons melted butter
- ½ cup oil
- ½ tablespoon anise
- ½ tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1 pinch of gum arabic powder
-1 / 2 tea glass of water of orange flowers
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon pure saffron
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 cup Vinegar
- Oil for frying- 1 kg of honey
Decoration:
- 1 cup of tea with toasted sesame seeds

Preparation:

- In the dish, place the flour, add salt, ground sesame seeds, melted butter, oil, anise, cinnamon, gum arabic powder, water, orange blossom , yeast, saffron, egg yolk and vinegar. Mix well these elements by adding a little warm water. Work aggressively to obtain a homogeneous paste and malleable. (If necessary add water)
- Divide the dough into balls and averages on a floured work surface, spread them thinly with the roller. Using a wheel, cut squares of 9cm. Make it 4 notches parallel to the wheel, without going to the edge. To weave the square, lift the index with the sides 1,3 and 5.
- Using both hands, separate the sides 1, 3, 5 and sides 2 and 4 without detaching the square.
- Solder the 2 bottom corners of the square and made up the part welded up, you get the chabbakia.
Turn the dough and all.
- Dip the chabbakias in a hot frying and let brown. Take them out and then dip it in honey and return to the spatula. Drain in a colander and garnish with sesame seeds. Serve cold.

Chabbakia is very sweet and yammy.Enjoy!
