Everything Moroccan: Amazing Food, Hospitality and Unforgettable Scenery!

Everything Moroccan just makes my trip to morocco unforgettable. During the last ten years, I discovered so much more about Moroccan life, the diversity of Moroccan culture, the delicious food, the unique Moroccan architecture and decor, the warm beautiful weather in almost all Moroccan cities, the long line of exotic scenery along the clean uncrowded Moroccan beaches, the hospitality and generosity of Moroccans, and so much more that I want to share with you.

The most amazing thing that surprises me in Morocco is the distinctive architectures that every city has. When I went to Essaouira two years ago, I felt like I was in another time in history.

The houses of the old medina were all painted white with blue doors bearing the khmissas (hand-shaped door knobs)on them. The hundreds of fishing boats sitting in the port made the perfect post card.

Wait till I start talking about other tourist destinations like Marrakech and Agadir. Everything Moroccan is dedicated to bringing you all the information you need to know.

Agadir

Recently, as my travel to Morocco became more frequent, neighbors, family members and Moroccan friends started inviting me to some Moroccan weddings.

Discover Moroccan Imperial Cities

The last wedding I went to was in Rabat, the capital city of Morocco. The first thing I noticed when I had arrived was a huge Moroccan tent with a big Moroccan flag displayed at the entrance. That was the welcome stage

Then Inside the building, Moroccan men were wearing their traditional Moroccan clothes- djellaba, salham and balra. Moroccan women were wearing what is called takchitas and kaftans- Moroccan clothes with gorgeous colors and embroideries. Marrakech

There was a band playing Moroccan music. It is very common in city weddings to play what is called chaabi music. I loved that beat. I even spent half the night dancing the Moroccan dance on it even though I dance like a standing snake.

The beauty of Moroccan culture, as in everything Moroccan, is in its diversity. In another wedding in Agadir, which is one of my favorite destinations, I attended a Berber wedding.

I talk about all the highlited subjects in detail in other pages. Feel free to browse around Everything Moroccan. I have a lot of pictures with stories behind them to share..

Reminder

Visit our blog for new articles about Morocco.

It was like a night derived from the Arabian nights. Moroccan girls belly dancing around, wearing their Moroccan antique jewelry and traditional colthes, filled the tent, while most of the men hung out on the other side feeling the Berber lyrics of the song in the background.

The Moroccan bride looked a bit tired. She had to change her dress so many times and stand for a long period taking pictures with family members and friends.

More about Moroccan Wedding

I witnessed some of the great Moroccan designs last year when I had the chance to visit a friend who resides in Fez. I just loved the souk in the old medina where pottery, metalwork, carpets, woodwork and leather handcrafted pieces of art are sold.I will say that to me most of the houses in fez are small Moroccan museums, but my favorite is the Museum of Bank Al Maghrib which is in Rabat..

From the fosayfissaa and qoranic scriptures on the walls to the Moroccan bedroom decor to the lenterns to the architectures of the Qasba, every touch is a piece of Moroccan art.

I visited a couple of zawyas in fez and my God what a beautiful sofi experience that was. I felt that my presence was historical.

I was inspired to write some Moroccan poetry and took a good collection of pictures, mostly about the Moroccan patterns and designs that you will see in this website.

Well, essentially, I talk about Morocco and everything Moroccan here. Feel free to browse around. Marhaba! (welcome !)
