M'hancha

Mhancha is such a delicious Moroccan dessert. Here are the ingredients:

Gazelle Horns

- 250 g almonds
- 125 g caster sugar
- 3 tablespoons melted butter
- ¼ teaspoon cinnamon
- 4 teaspoons water orange blossom
- A pinch of powdered gum arabic
- 20 leaves pastilla
- A little melted butter
Decoration:
-1 Egg yolk
- A little honey
- A little chopped slivered almonds

Preparation:

- Boil the almonds, prunes and wipe with a clean cloth, then mix with sugar several times until you get an almond paste.
- Add the almond paste, three tablespoons melted butter, cinnamon, water, orange blossom and gum arabic. Knead well and form long sticks.
- Cut the leaves in pelletized form huge rectangles and brush them with melted butter. Wrap the stick in almond leaf. With a brush, brush surface with egg yolk and decorate with sliced almonds.
Arrange the sticks on a baking sheet and bake until browned (about 15 minutes).
- Once the sticks are cooked, sprinkle with warm honey and cut into small pieces.
