Moroccan art is very rich and diverse. Moroccans have safe guarded its techniques and traditions for centuries.
The Neolithic period is a milestone in building the Kingdom of Morocco. In fact, immigration from everywhere and thoughout history has brought up a rich tradition of Moroccan art and craft.
Eventhough I grew up with a lot of these pieces around me in the house, in restaurants, mosques and almost everywhere I went, I had not estemated its precious value and artistic beauty untill I grew up and traveled overseas for an extended period.
My longing for home sweet home has stirred unexpected dazzlement and particular interest in Moroccan art, initially when I took a color and design class in college and then when I worked on various interior design projects in new york.
Now, every time I go to Morocco I find myself compelled to buy my next precious piece. I am into jewelry. what are you into?
Today, the past, old traditions and the diversity of the Moroccan people and its culture have given birth to the richness of Moroccan craft which has more than 70 trades and a surprising diversity of designs and materials which are used: wool, leather, wood, sorrel, alfa, the dom, clay, stone, marble, copper, iron, silver, gold, iron ...

The craft continues to grow, thus meeting the daily
needs of the population, the needs of foreigners through exports, and
it also satisfies the tourists at the same time.
It is essential to safeguard this heritage, which is part of the history of Morocco.
Without this craft, thousands of families would be condemned to poverty and it would signal the end of this extraordinary bustle of the souks, which gives walkers whose senses are awakened.
The earliest known inhabitants of Morocco were the Berbers, the
pioneers in the field of crafts, especially in the processing of wool
(carpet), iron and silver (jewelry), Moroccan lanterns, and various utensils and clay (pottery) .
After the advent of Islam and Arabs, and other crafts have developed in working with copper (various utensils, tables), wood sorrel, the alpha and clay (pottery ).
The craft covers virtually all of Morocco and each region has its own specialties, from raw materials which are abundant.
But the cities that are most famous for their crafts are Fez, (leather, copper, silver, gold, fabric), Marrakech(leather, copper, carpets), Essaouira (wood, carpets, silver) and Rabat and sale (pottery). The regions of Agadir and Tafilalet also have a craft value.
