Chicken with onion and almond




This Moroccan Chicken Recipe of chicken with onion and almond is usually served in festivities. Moroccans serve it in almost every happy occasion.

Ingredients :

1.4 kg chicken

5 cl olive oil

1 large pinch of saffron

2 pinch of ginger

300 g chopped onions

80 g butter

˝ tsp cinnamon

2 tablespoons honey

4 dl chicken broth

200g blanched almonds

Some leaf parsley

Preparation :

Cut the chicken into 8 parts. Put the oil to heat. wait until the chicken pieces are brown. Sprinkle with saffron and ginger. Add salt and pepper. Pour the broth. Cover and simmer about 35 minutes.

Make a stew with the onions in butter. When they are cooked, add meat and honey and cinnamon. Toast the almonds in a can of hot oil. Then add salt. Prepare the chicken in a clay pot. Spread the almonds and sprinkle with parsley leaf.

The mixture of chicken with onion and almond makes this dish one taste buds' tingler. Enjoy cooking and eating it.
