Oualidia
The beach of Oualidia is considered among the most visited beaches in
Morocco.
Al Oualidia Beach is located on the Atlantic coast in the
center of the country.
It a beautiful protected beach on the coastal road between El Jadida
and Safi.
It surely is the quieter beach on the coast that promises relaxation
and serenity.
Just the place for those who want to unwind, meet, establish
contacts with a hospital population. But the thing I liked most is the
fact that it remained close to nature.
During the summer of 2009 I spent three days on Oualidia beach that I
enjoyed a lot. This beach is so beautiful, surrounded by trees on one
side and beautiful villas on another side.
When we got there, it was easy for us to find a place to stay. We paid
200 dirhams (about 22 dollars) for a three bedroom house that is close
to a shopping area, a souk.
That afternoon we walked to the beach and what an amazing view it was.
The air was so fresh and the beach was very calm, almost no waves at
all because the rocks were holding them back inside. It was pretty much
like a huge swimming pool.
It was a very hot day I recall, but the water was cold and refreshing.
We then took a boat tour on the beach (for about 5 dollars) . The tour
was very interesting. We got to see one of the oldest palaces of the
king Mohammed the fifth, which is under renovation right now. We also
enjoyed watching people diving for some crabs. There were also
different water sports available but I felt more into relaxing.
Three days went by so fast but the enjoyment of those relaxing and
quiet moments while sun bathing are still resonating in my mind. I can
not wait to go back there again this time for a longer
period.
I have found out that tripadvisor has great offers for Oualidia
