Tajine Kofta

Tagine Kofta

You can write Tajine with "j" or "g" by the way. Kofta means chopped meat, either beef or lamb. Tajine kofta is great if your body is in need of proteins and it is also easy to digest.

Ingredients:

500g minced beef

3 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro

2 tablespoons chopped parsley

100 g onion, finely chopped

½ tsp cumin powder

Salt and freshly ground pepper

1 large pinch of mild chili powder

2 pinch of ginger

5 cl of olive oil or peanut oil

150g tomato cut into small dice

1 teaspoon parsley

You are going to need the tagine pot to cook this dish. If you can not find it where you live, you can buy it here:

Preparation:

Tajine kofta is very quick and easy to cook. Mix together the meat and spices. Wet hands and form small balls, the size of a marble. In a large skillet, bring the oil heated. Add the tomato flesh, the crushed garlic, 2 pinches of cumin. Add salt and pepper. Simmer over low heat 10 minutes. Serve hot with chopped parsley.

Tajine kofta is very delicious. I love drinking Moroccan tea after eating this dish.
