Travel Morocco
Travel Morocco and discover the magic of a rich culture. But
before you do consider your options very carefully. First thing is
first, something about your health: see your doctor about immunization.
Although malaria is not an issue in Morocco, the country is still in
Africa. This is very important especially if you are planning on
visiting the countryside or the Sahara.
Another thing, make sure you do not drink tab water to avoid diarrhea.
I am Moroccan and every time I go there I get it the first couple of
days, although I drink only mineral water. You know why? Because people
commonly cook with tab water.
But that is not a big concern, especially if you are staying in a
hotel; they are usually aware of that. I just take the many trips to
the bathroom as an opportunity to check out the tiles or catch up on my
reading. To travel morocco or anywhere you have to endure
some sort of inconvenience. But the experience is worth it.
Now if you are American or European you do not need a visa at all. Once
you get there, your passport will be stamped for 90 days.
You have many options to decide from in term of where to go and where
to stay. It all depends on what you are into.
If for example you are interested in visiting one city like Marrakech,
all you need is to book your hotel and plane ticket.
Or if you are interested in a tour of multiple cities there
are plenty of agencies that are very professional and provide great
service.
If you want to try climbing the atlas mountains or riding camels in the
Sahara, or even running the Sahara, there are specialized tour
organizers very experienced in providing a great memorable experience.
If you want to travel Morocco for surfing there are many beaches with
inviting waves waiting for you.
Hotels, bed and breakfast or house rentals on the beach are priced
reasonably in Morocco.
Some are more expensive but are more luxurious resorts that
offer more amenities and private tour guides and
entertainment.
Travel Morocco if you are looking for an unforgettable experience. But
to make this a positive one, let me uncover some travel advice not to
scare you but to stay safe:
Do not wander around alone on places you don’t know.
People will try to sell you stuff sometimes, disregard, gracefully.
When buying from stores, negotiate, bargain.
Do not drink alcohol in public.
Do not look for drugs. Hashish is an illegal drug. I hate to see you in
a Moroccan prison.
Keep hotel and police phone numbers with you.
Don’t carry expensive stuff with you or wear expensive jewelry.
Don not accept any illegal guides.
Exactly! Just use common sense, wherever you go.
In conclusion, to travel Morocco you only need to get ready to wake up
your senses at the spice market, get ready for a delicious cuisine, get
ready for an amazing and a beautiful time in a culture and with
a people that welcome you with a big smile saying “Marhaba”
(welcome).
Common phrases:
Salam o alikom (hello)
Shokran (thanks)
La bas (how are you)
Bess lama (goodbye)
inch Allah (God willing)
